The MDO Project Support Grants (PSGs) support local musicians and music businesses with creative and business development projects.
The PSGs offer funding to support musicians to continue their creative development and to help sustain music businesses in the South Australian original contemporary music sector.
PSG rounds generally open in the following rounds:
- April - for activity from 1 July to 30 June for the next financial year
- October - for activity from 1 January to 31 December for the next calendar year.
From October 2026, the MDO Project Support Grants program offers distinct streams of funding to support creative and business development.
Applicants may submit ONE application per round and must select the funding stream that best aligns with their proposed activity:
- recording
- touring
- marketing
- festivals and events
- live music venues
- professional development
- industry pathways
