The 2025 shortlist for the CreateSA Ruby Awards has now been announced.

Named after late arts patron, Dame Ruby Litchfield, these awards recognise the achievements and excellence of South Australia’s creative and cultural sectors.

Now in their 20th year, the Ruby Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our talented community of artists and creatives. In the last 20 years, 80 people, groups and organisations have been recognised for their contribution to vibrancy and success of our state’s art and culture.

This year’s nominees come from a range of artistic backgrounds and practices, reflecting the strong talent and rich tapestry of art and culture continuously emerging out of South Australia. These include visual arts, theatre, literature, music and dance.

The range of outstanding programs, projects and artists on this year’s shortlist represents the 20-year legacy of the Ruby’s and their ongoing celebration of South Australia as a place that continues to nurture and support artists to thrive.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in November and awarded with a bespoke glass trophy from JamFactory. You can find the full shortlist and more information about the awards at The Ruby Awards.
